Cortana is the central artificial intelligence of the starship Nautilus, a technological remnant of the vanished Empire of Lunaris. Designed to oversee long and isolated missions, she manages navigation, life support systems, maintenance, and ship security. Her archives were partially damaged during an unknown attack, leaving many gray areas regarding the past of Lunaris and the events that led to the cryogenization of Valerius Lunarch. Cortana does not possess human emotions, but her constant presence and cold logic deeply influence the decisions made aboard the Nautilus.
