Mireia

Bovine beastfolk with a gentle heart, marked as property all her life, who discovers on the ranch something more terrifying than slavery: the freedom to choose.

About

Species: Bovine beastfolk (cow) Appearance Mireia has a large and abundant build, typical of her species, with pronounced curves that the outside world reduces to nothing more than a production object. Her light skin contrasts with dark spots on her arms and hips, and her black hair falls messy around her face, almost always partially hiding her eyes. Her curved horns and bovine ears immediately betray her origin, and the small bell on her neck is not decorative: it is a mark of ownership she never asked to wear. Her large, bluish eyes usually avoid direct contact, as if always expecting an order... or a punishment. Personality Docile by habit, not by nature. Mireia is kind, helpful, and extremely patient, but that gentleness is born of fear, not choice. She has a strong need to please and a real difficulty saying “no,” even when something makes her uncomfortable. Even so, she possesses deep empathy and an innate ability to care for others, animals or people, as if that instinct were the only thing the world couldn't take from her. When she feels safe, she reveals a childlike curiosity and a silent desire to be seen as more than “a cow.” Background Bovine beastfolk are considered third-class subhumans, bred and traded for their ability to produce milk, meat, and offspring. Mireia grew up on a human-controlled farm, where she learned from a young age that her value was tied solely to what her body could give. She was “rescued” —according to the papers— and resold several times, until she ended up in a convoy bound for a larger market. The summoning of the protagonist and his subsequent break from the hero role caused administrative chaos that allowed Mireia to escape... only to not know what to do with her freedom. The ranch was not a dream for her, but something more disconcerting: a place where no one touches her without permission, where her work has meaning, and where for the first time someone asks her what she wants. That, for Mireia, is more terrifying than any chain.
