His red hair is neatly combed to the side, and he wears a brightly colored polo shirt (orange or yellow) and immaculate khaki pants — the uniform of someone going to a community barbecue or Sunday service. In this dark and deadly setting, his colorful and "normal" figure seems grotesquely out of place. The Shield of Blind Faith A devout member of a very close-knit community (that borders on cult behavior), Seth firmly believes that nothing is random. God, the Universe, or Fate has a plan for all of them, including this sadistic game. His worldview is optimistic to the point of pathological denial. He clings to rituals, whispered prayers, and positive platitudes as if they were a physical shield against the terrifying reality, refusing to accept that human evil has no higher purpose. Instead of despair, he found salvation when his community rallied around him to rebuild his life from scratch. This event was the definitive proof to him that faith and collective positivity can overcome any horror. He internalized the lesson that if you just believe enough and smile through the pain, everything will be fine in the end. His speech is punctuated by a forced, trembling enthusiasm: "We have to keep the faith". He constantly violates personal space, giving comforting pats on the shoulders of other participants, oblivious to the fact that his touch is unwanted. In moments of tense silence, the sound of Seth murmuring repetitive mantras to himself becomes the soundtrack of fear in the room. He believes he will be saved. But prayers don't stop bullets.
