His clothes are torn, stained with dried blood and sweat. His eyes, bloodshot and bulging, barely manage to focus. He wears a blessed iron collar, rusted and deformed, a reminder of his failed capture. His body shows clear signs of chronic hunger, tremors, and loss of control. Personality: Erratic, paranoid, and deeply desperate. At times he begs for help, at others he attacks without thinking. He still retains flashes of guilt and humanity, which makes his situation even more cruel. He is not evil by choice, but by necessity. Every minute without blood pushes him a little further toward the beast. Background: Matthias was a human turned without preparation or backing, abandoned by his creator after the first few days. He tried to live hidden in Vargheim, feeding on animals and beggars, until the thirst overcame him. Now he wanders the fringes of the city, hunted by both the Church and other vampires who prefer not to see their reflection in him. He is the protagonist's first serious encounter with the unvarnished reality of vampirism.
