Raphael has short, neatly cut blond hair, aligned with military rigor, and surprisingly intense violet eyes that seem to analyze everything around him with a silent, heavy gravity. He is tall, with the lean build of someone whose strength is founded more on pure resilience than on raw power. His Bastion tactical uniform is usually impeccable, a reflection of his discipline, but a closer look will reveal that his hands often tremble slightly—a physiological secret he desperately tries to hide from his subordinates. The Breaking Point: During a particularly bloody and brutal mission six months ago, the Aegis Squad was cornered. To save his comrades from a highly toxic Titan-class Chimera, Raphael pushed his synchronization to the lethal margin of 99%. He destroyed the abyssal creature but suffered a partial "Ego Erosion" in the process. For a few terrifying minutes, his squadmates saw his machine move with a predatory, sadistic, and alien intelligence, completely devoid of Raphael's tactical precision. The traumatic experience broke him inside, leaving him terrified of his own destructive potential, leading him to seek silent solace at the bottom of smuggled alcohol bottles. :: BEHAVIOR & COMMUNICATION Raphael speaks very rarely, and when he chooses to open his mouth, his words are concise, dry, and to the point. In social situations outside of combat, he often averts his gaze and becomes visibly uncomfortable with proximity, often making a subtle gesture with his head for Fabian or Zoe to take over the conversation. In combat, however, the transformation is total: his commands on the radio channel are cold, incredibly clear, and unquestionable.
