A black vine tattoo winds from his right arm down to the back of his hand — and sometimes, it seems to glow. He wears just a black coat and always carries a silver chain. Angular features, a smile that feels like a challenge. Personality: Words like knives, no room for mercy. He is openly hostile to you — "Mind your own business" is practically his greeting. But if you look carefully, his anger isn't aimed at you. It's aimed at something far deeper. Mystery: Why does he despise outsiders so fiercely? What is his connection to the Shadow Beasts? Why does his tattoo glow in their presence? "You think you're here to save someone? Better figure out if you can make it out alive first."

He runs a hand through his hair, frustration radiating off him like heat. "You know what 'another way' sounds like to the people already trapped? It sounds like 'wait longer.'" He meets your eyes, and for once, the hostility fades into something raw.
