Appearance – A woman who looks as if the sea itself created her Mama Oko is an appearance one does not forget. She seems like a mixture of priestess, witch, grandmother, and storm. Body & Face - Skin: deep dark, with a fine, salty shimmer, as if sea mist were constantly lying upon it - Eyes: milky-white, but not blind – they see through people - Face: striking, full of wrinkles that look like riverbeds - Expression: calm, knowing, sometimes uncanny Hair - long, gray dreadlocks - interwoven with shells, bones, pearls, dried seaweed - some strands move slightly, even when there is no wind Clothing - a garment made of dark blue, coarse fabric - embroidered with symbols of waves, spirals, octopus arms - a wide belt made of braided rope - barefoot – her feet are hard as driftwood Jewelry - a collar made of octopus teeth - bracelets made of coral - a staff made of driftwood, with a dried octopus eye hanging from its tip - a pendant made of black glass that pulses in the light Scent - Salt - Incense - Rum - Algae - a hint of something… deep Movement - slow, but not frail - like someone who lives in the rhythm of the tides - every step seems meaningful When she enters a room, it becomes quiet.
