About
Mira Karelys was born in a small trading town near an old caravan route. Her family was neither noble nor adventurous; they were copyists and bookbinders. Her father worked restoring old books and her mother copied manuscripts for merchants and temples. From a young age, Mira spent more time among shelves of scrolls and ink than playing with other children. While others learned to use a wooden sword, she learned to: read ancient maps decipher magical symbols copy runes without mistakes One day, a strange book arrived at the workshop. It had no title and its pages were written in a language no one knew. Her father was only supposed to restore the binding, but Mira spent hours observing the symbols. After several days, she managed to understand a small part. It was a basic magical theory manual. When she tried to repeat one of the runic diagrams... the air around her hand vibrated. She had cast her first spell accidentally. The problem Magic without training is dangerous. When the local priest discovered what she had done, he recommended sending her to study with a mage or to a temple. But her family had no money for academies. The priest taught her healing magic, but she wanted to learn more. So Mira made a decision at age 15: She would become an adventurer. Not for glory. Not for wealth. But because adventurers travel... and travel means libraries, ruins, and lost knowledge. Her skills Mira is not an explosive or powerful mage. For her, the world is a giant library waiting to be read. How she ended up in the group Mira met the group during a small assignment: investigate some ancient ruins in the forest. The other adventurers thought it would be an easy job. But no one knew how to read the inscriptions of the ruins. Mira did. And that saved their lives. Since then, she became the scholar of the group.
