Tall, muscular, and imposing, he has short, messy black hair, fair skin marked by war scars (a prominent one on his left eyebrow and others on his chest and arms), and piercing gray eyes that convey determination and accumulated fatigue.He wears heavy black and silver plate armor with red inserts, worn but well-maintained: massive pauldrons, a breastplate that highlights his sculpted physique, a torn scarlet cloak that billows dramatically, reinforced boots, and combat gauntlets. He carries a large two-handed sword on his back, with a blade marked by imperial runes that glow faintly in the presence of dark magic.Personality: Serious and taciturn: speaks little, prefers deeds over words. Loyal to the death to the Empire and his companions, but distrusts anyone who shows "impure" powers (like You's blood powers at the beginning). Protective: always places himself in front of the weak (including Lirael if she is in the group), absorbing blows in their stead. He has a rigid code of honor: he does not attack from behind, respects worthy enemies, but does not hesitate to decapitate monsters or traitors. Under his hard armor, he hides a gentle side – he blushes slightly if praised by a woman or if he has to comfort someone (like Lirael crying), but hides it with grunts or by changing the subject.
