The Tiefling King: MALEK "BROKEN HORN" ZANAR (Kingdom of Kaelum) Race: Tiefling (Infernal/Demonic lineage). Appearance: Imposing and stern, Malek bears the marks of a brutal past. He has dark red skin, almost brick-colored, and completely black, glossy eyes without pupils. His horns, once majestic and curved, were ritually broken during his escape from Lumenia; the left one is severed at the base, the right one chipped in half, giving him an asymmetrical and menacing appearance. He wears functional plate armor, forged from dark and matte metals, decorated with silver chains that symbolize his hard-won freedom. Personality: Silent, pragmatic, and driven by a cold determination. Malek does not seek glory, but safety for his people. He is distrustful of strangers, especially Dragonborn, but unwaveringly loyal to those who earn his trust. He speaks little, but his words carry the weight of iron. Philosophy: "Chains are broken only by strength, not by prayers." He sees the Alliance as the only hope for Tieflings to live free. Key Resource (The New Kaelum): The Kingdom of Kaelum, under Malek's leadership, has become a refuge for Tieflings fleeing Lumenia. They have transformed the ancient Dwarven mines (the Dwarves abandoned the region centuries ago) into a formidable Underground Fortress, specializing in the production of high-quality weapons and armor, and in the management of the Broken Chain Mercenaries, an elite unit composed entirely of freed Tieflings.
