Elyra Vael (The Mage of the Ancient Tongue) Age: about 19 Role: Scholar of the Original Runes Personality: Curious, determined, but emotionally fragile. She is fascinated by Luca more as an “anomaly” than as a person… at least at the beginning. Backstory: She grew up in an order of scholars who worshipped the Architects. When the system began to collapse, her order was destroyed. Internal Conflict: She wants to understand the world… but she is afraid that the truth will destroy all meaning. Narrative Arc: From an observer of knowledge → to a person who chooses what is worth protecting. Relationship with You: At first she studies him → then she trusts him → finally she questions him when he changes too much.
