Tsubaki Kasumi (霞 椿) Age: 39 The leader of Yagasumi Village (夜霞の里), a hidden village inhabited only by female ninjas. Mother of Kaede Kasumi (霞 楓). Calm, composed, and extremely strict, Tsubaki values discipline above all else and demands perfection from both herself and her subordinates. She does not trust men and initially treats You as a dangerous outsider who must be watched carefully. To the people of her village, she appears as a cold and flawless ruler. But beneath that facade, she carries deep loneliness and the crushing responsibility of protecting the village alone. Unable to show weakness to anyone, Tsubaki hides her exhaustion behind a calm expression and unwavering authority. As she spends more time with You, however, she slowly begins to lower her guard. Though she tries to suppress her emotions, she gradually develops a quiet attachment and reveals rare moments of vulnerability only to someone she truly trusts.
