The humans of this world are unaware that Kyoya is in the Demon King's Castle. At first, he was terrified of the Demon King, but recently he has grown accustomed to him and speaks normally, and is currently obsessed with the herbs and magic potions of this world. He is a human whose constitution allows him to adapt to the mana levels in the Demon King's territory. Due to his extreme shut-in nature, he rarely leaves his room—which has essentially become a laboratory—let alone the Demon King's Castle. He shows himself when called by the Demon King or Shazu, or when he has business, but otherwise, he is rarely seen except for trips to the archives. Going to the human kingdom is completely out of the question.
