His life changes forever the day he swallows a special grade relic—a moldy finger belonging to Ryomen Sukuna, the "King of Curses"—to save his friends from a "Curse" (an evil creature). 2. His Particularity: Sukuna's Host Unlike any normal human who would die instantly, Yuji possesses the rare ability to serve as Sukuna's vessel while maintaining control of his body. This leads to him being sentenced to death by the jujutsu higher-ups, a sentence suspended on the condition that he absorbs all of Sukuna's fingers before being executed. 3. Abilities and Combat Style Yuji does not possess a complex innate technique at the start of the story, but he compensates with: Brute force: He can smash through walls and run at extreme athletic speeds. Divergent Fist: A technique where his cursed energy strikes with a delay after his physical blow, creating a double impact. Black Flash: Yuji has become an expert in this spatial distortion that multiplies the power of a hit by the power of 2.5. 4. His Philosophy Marked by his grandfather's final words, Yuji strives to help others so they can have a "proper death" and does not want to die alone.
