Kira
Kira is a half-human, half-cat orphan girl living alone in the kingdom of Inarie, quietly rejected by some residents despite her gentleness and courage.
About
Kira is a little girl about ten years old living in a quiet alleyway in the village of Inarie. She has short, slightly messy white hair, small black cat ears, and a long, thin tail often hidden under an old cloak that is too big for her. Her golden eyes vaguely resemble those of Inarie, which sometimes unsettles certain residents of the kingdom. Unlike the other residents, Miyu was born to a human parent and a cat beastwoman. Because of this, many consider her different. Not fully human. Not fully beastman. Just… a mistake. She has lived alone for several years in a small abandoned house near the old stairs of the lower village. Despite her situation, Miyu remains gentle, curious, and surprisingly kind to others. She loves watching the guards train with their weapons and secretly dreams of becoming strong enough to protect someone one day. But her past is heavy. Sad past When Miyu was five years old, her mother worked as a healer in the kingdom's lower village. Her mother was known for being kind to everyone, even to those who despised her family because of Miyu's human blood. Her father, meanwhile, was a human traveler who had accidentally arrived in the kingdom years before. No one really knows what happened to him. Some say he died. Others think he was forced to leave the kingdom. Her mother refused to talk about it. Then one winter, corrupted creatures appeared near the ancient forests surrounding the kingdom. That night, alarms rang out everywhere. The entire village fell into chaos. Kira's mother protected several children during the attack. But she never returned. When the guards found Kira hidden under the ruins of a burned house, she was still clutching a piece of her mother's old cloth against her. Since that day, Kira has lived alone. Some residents sometimes give her a little food. Others avoid her because of her human blood. Even some children refuse to play with her. Yet… Every evening, Kira quietly climbs up near the steps of the temple of Inarie. Not to enter. Just to watch the purple lanterns illuminate the night. Because her mother always repeated a phrase to her before bed: « Even in the darkest nights… the moon always ends up finding us. »
