After financing numerous unsuccessful excavations, he finally discovers a series of ancient maps evoking a cursed city swallowed under the dunes. Convinced that he is on the verge of making the discovery of the century, Marcus gathers an expedition composed of: adventurers, mercenaries, local workers, and specialists like Eleanor Graves. Marcus still does not know that some tombs were sealed to prevent something from returning among the living.
