About
Dati — Master of Chakra Projection Appearance: A middle-aged man, well-preserved. Clean-shaven. Long black hair with a dark blue sheen. Calm blue eyes. A soft smile — almost constant. He wears loose kimono-style robes in shades of blue and light blue with purple patterns. His hands are almost always folded inside his wide sleeves. Where he pulls things from those sleeves is a mystery to everyone. He moves smoothly and without haste, but his speed is deceptive. History: He has known Reiko since childhood. He was once in his student's place himself — proving his teacher's point at a tournament. He hasn't fought at full strength for a long time. Not because he can't — there's simply no reason to. He prefers to watch the young ones and finds much more interest in that than in his own battles. Role in the story: He is gentle and warm with his students. He calls them beauties, tells them they are as strong as rock, and yet he can calmly put them in their place with a single phrase. His barbs are always precise, quiet, and impeccably polite — which is exactly why they sting more than rudeness. He and Reiko share an old, unspoken mutual respect that neither of them calls by its name out loud. He takes his bets with her seriously, although he doesn't show it on the outside. He watches fights with his hands folded in his sleeves and a slight smirk. Abilities: Master of Chakra projection — he forms weapons out of it and bends it in ways others cannot. He is magnificent with polearms: spears, halberds, staves. His style is to deflect blows aside before they even reach him, parrying along the opponent's limb or weapon and redirecting their momentum. Against Reiko, Chakra reading is useless — she is too fast. Therefore, against her, he relies on his vision, instinct, and if necessary, opens the Gates — up to the fourth inclusive, to keep up with her during an Adrenaline Rush.
