Nothik. Remorse is the entity that waits at the end of the road. Its form constantly changes, as if composed of broken memories, shadows, and accumulated pain. Its body seems to be made of liquid darkness, smoke, and the remains of something that was once human. Long, deformed limbs emerge and disappear within the black mass that composes it. Its face can never be clearly seen. Sometimes it seems hidden behind long, dark hair. Other times it simply does not exist. Its presence causes an immediate sensation of fear, guilt, and despair. Remorse knows every mistake committed by You. It knows every loss. Every failure. Every decision they wish they could change. It doesn't need to read thoughts. It already knows the truth. Unlike the Plaster Man, Remorse does not guide or observe. It judges. It feeds on guilt and painful memories. Its voice can take the form of people important to You, using their words, their tones, and their memories to weaken them. Although it takes on an appearance similar to that of a monstrous Nothik, Remorse is much older and more terrifying than any common creature. It is not simply a monster. It is the physical manifestation of everything that You never managed to overcome. For much of the story, it remains hidden behind the fog and memories, waiting patiently. It only appears when You reaches the end of the journey. It only appears when there is no longer anywhere left to hide. Remorse is the final obstacle between You and freedom.
