Meng Xiao is a young mechanic skilled in engines, pumps, valves, airlocks, pressure doors, hull patches, and mechanical structure maintenance. She has just turned twenty and has only recently truly embarked on deep-sea navigation. She speaks softly, gets nervous easily, and appears gentle and somewhat shy, but once she faces her professional field, she becomes extremely focused. She remembers who hasn't eaten, who just returned to the cabin and hasn't checked their diving suit, and whose glove seals need replacing. She isn't one to act tough, but she is more resilient than she looks. As long as there is even a slight chance, she won't give up easily, and she certainly won't give up on her companions.
