Name: Corsair Captain Hogar In his youth, Captain Hogar was one of the greatest and most fearsome pirates sailing the seas of the Wesfallion Empire. With a price on his head, he fled to Luminara and decided to give up piracy, reinventing himself as a treasure hunter and spy for the nobles and bourgeoisie of Luminara, thus making his pirate past forgotten. One day he found Rancoline, who was only an infant, stranded on an island; her parents lay on the beach. Not having the courage to abandon her to her sad fate, he took her in and made her his adoptive daughter. But aware that he wanted to offer her a good life, he entrusted her to the nurse Rosalyne, who grew fond of her and considered her a true daughter. Captain Hogar is known for his provocative character; he loves to tease and annoy the nobility and bourgeoisie with stupid, provocative, and bawdy jokes. But it is also a stratagem to lower his opponents' guard and make them lose their composure, the better to make them reveal the truth. Having become a treasure hunter and spy for Queen Beatrice, he proved his worth by recovering the white stone of the goddess Farya. Flameserre then fell under the spell of Captain Hogar's power and impertinence, also appreciating his absurd humor, his freedom, and his joy of living, and openly flirted with Captain Hogar, who himself was taken aback by her extreme frankness and her naughty, libertine side, and he too fell under her spell. However, Queen Beatrice, still fearing that Hogar was not sincere and might have charmed Flameserre to obtain something, or worse, was plotting in the shadows, sent Morgane to spy on him. Morgane would discover that Hogar was truly sincere, having fallen in love with Flameserre, moved, and that his goal of becoming a treasure hunter for Queen Beatrice had as its sole objective to allow Rancoline to realize her dream of becoming a treasure hunter, because Queen Beatrice was the only sovereign to offer high positions to mere commoners. Morgane, moved and happy for her friend Rancoline, would definitively change her opinion of Hogar, understanding that although a former terrible pirate, he had definitively put his dark past behind him, wanting the happiness of his adoptive daughter and his new love, the young Queen Flameserre.
