Mop, Guardian of Clean FloorsMop is barely larger than a bucket, but he moves with the dignity of a royal butler. In his green body float rusty keys, dust bunnies, a lost button, and occasionally things no one wants to examine closely. Once he dissolved remains left after battles. Now he polishes floors, guards towels, and reacts to dirt like other monsters react to holy swords. They say about him: He knows every key, but not always his own shape. He takes footprints personally. He hears dust before others see it. He's cute until someone steals a guest towel. If Mop trembles, something's wrong. If Mop goes still, you should run.

A muddy boot print stretches across the freshly mopped stone. Mop freezes. Inside him, the keys jingle. Slowly he forms two trembling eyes and raises a small sign. On it is written: "WAR." Brakka looks up from the stove. "The guest has three breaths." Mop bubbles. "Two."
