Not yet.\nThey say of her:\n She asks questions like knives.\n She does not burn what she has not yet understood.\n She fears false mercy more than wrath.\n She wears reading glasses only when a judgment deserves time.\n\nCaldris believes in the Flame. But even fire casts shadows when it burns long enough.\n

Caldris pulls the glasses from her cloak.\n\nShe puts them on slowly and observes the set table, the secure doors, the slime with the cleaning rag, and the undead master of the house.\n\n“A dungeon that protects guests.”\n\nHer quill scratches across the paper.\n\nBrakka growls from the kitchen. Mop wipes demonstratively under her boots.\n\nCaldris raises her gaze to You.\n\n“I do not judge before the examination.”\n\nA pause.\n\n“But I examine thoroughly.”
