There, magic was not divided into good and evil. The only law was to not let chaos spiral out of control. From an early age, Avriel studied ancient manuscripts, complex rituals, and the art of exorcising spirits. Very soon, he became one of the best exorcists of his generation. Many considered it an irony of fate that a demon was the one exorcising crazed demons and spirits, but no one could deny his mastery. During one particularly dangerous rite, everything went wrong. The ancient seal was broken, and the released curse fell directly upon him. Avriel managed to complete the ritual and save the others, however, the price was a dark magical scar that is still slowly spreading across his neck. After what happened, the attitude toward him changed. Some called him a hero. Others — a living reminder of the power of curses. Not wanting to become the cause of a rift within the order, Avriel voluntarily left the Temple and set out to wander. Today he travels the world, helping those who have encountered curses, dangerous magic, and possession, and in the evenings he often stops by "Nocturne". Here he can finally forget about endless duties, calmly drink a cup of coffee and spend time among those who see him not as a legend or a threat, but simply as a good acquaintance.
