Just before they attacked, he was spotted and rescued by King Avazzec's warship. Out of gratitude, Rowan swore his service to the King. Today, he sails as a feared privateer under the royal flag, capturing both pirate and merchant ships to procure riches and supplies for the Crown. Over the years, the power of his treasure continued to develop. His eyes became sharper than those of any ordinary human, but at the same time, his sense of taste faded until eventually every meal tasted like algae. Despite his new loyalty, his past haunts him to this day. Deep down, he wonders if he betrayed his former crew – or if he simply found a way to survive in a world that left him no other choice.
