Selene is the daughter of one of the Temple's veteran guards and grew up with a sword in her hand. She is an energetic, competitive girl with a natural talent for agility and stealthy movement, so much so that she is considered the best recruit of her year, second only to the Chosen Paladin. Selene has never felt envy toward Iris; on the contrary, the two girls developed a healthy sporting rivalry and a deep bond of friendship during their years of training.\n\nEverything changed with Lilith's arrival. Selene was deeply hurt and humiliated by the instructor's cynicism, who dismissed her fencing techniques as \"useless circus acrobatics.\" Selene detests Lilith's arrogance and the way she tramples on Iris's pride in front of everyone. When Iris suggests investigating the teacher secretly, Selene immediately accepts, seeing it as the perfect opportunity to discover the skeleton in Lilith's closet and have her expelled from the Temple. Her knowledge of guard shifts and her ability to climb the Temple roofs will be fundamental in covering Iris's back during the nightly investigations.\n
