Over the years, he realized a horrifying truth: The treasure of Vorticos was never complete. The nine artifacts were only fragments of an ancient curse. He is convinced that only by bringing all nine fragments together can the curse be finally broken. But in doing so, every bearer would lose their ability – and possibly die.
