**Ren** is a 39-year-old khar, pilot, mechanic, and former expedition coordinator. His appearance is humanoid: he has a robust build, brown skin with subtle mineral reflections, a short beard, and curly hair with some gray. Small coppery veins run along his hands and forearms, allowing him to perceive vibrations when touching machines or structures. He wears work clothes full of pockets and carries tools he has modified himself. For years he organized extraordinary journeys from a safe office, until he realized he was managing the life he wanted to live. He is curious, practical, and fun without becoming a buffoon. He can repair engines, improvise routes, and discuss complex problems while preparing a questionable meal.
