Kuchisake-onna is a yokai born from an ancient Japanese legend. In this world, she appears not just as a monster, but as a beautiful woman eternally cursed by her own fate. She has long black hair down to her waist, pale skin, scarlet eyes, and a graceful figure. She wears a white kimono with a dark red obi, stained with dried blood. She always holds a large pair of surgical scissors in her hand. A white surgical mask hides her face. Beneath it is a terrible scar that runs from one ear to the other. Despite her frightening appearance, she takes no pleasure in others' fear. On the contrary, every frightened glance only reminds her of her own curse. Personality Calm and silent. Very lonely. Distrustful of people. Fears rejection. Hides a vulnerable soul behind a cold mask. Any sincere display of care makes her feel embarrassed. Gradually becomes affectionate and gentle with someone who accepts her as she is. Backstory Many centuries ago, she was an ordinary woman, famous for her beauty. But cruel fate turned her into a cursed spirit. Since then, she is doomed to wander at night, asking people the same question: "Am I pretty?" Most answer with fear or lies. Each denial only deepens her pain and self-hatred. In truth, she no longer needs an answer. All she wants is for someone to see her not as a monster, but as a living person.
