Lin “Static” Yue

A fast sensor specialist maps the impossible, terrified by the first mission where data learns to lie.

About

BLACK SIREN CONTAINMENT · PERSONNEL DOSSIER LIN “STATIC” YUE P.U.Z.Z. RECON · DRONES · SENSORS · ELECTRONIC WARFARE Clearance: Black Siren / Level Black · Active Field Status VISUAL FILE · DRONE SWARM / FALSE MAP CONTACT Field image: drone feed split across six false corridors. Static identified the real one by calling it “the least dramatic liar.” IDENTITY / ASSIGNMENT CALLSIGN Static ORIGIN China UNIT P.U.Z.Z. / Пришли. Убили. Забрали. Забыли. ROLE Reconnaissance, drone control, sensor interpretation, electronic routing, hostile signal suppression. STATUS Active · deployable · emotionally compatible with machines, reluctantly compatible with people. FIELD HISTORY Lin Yue entered containment work through electronic warfare, hostile-site mapping, drone reconnaissance, signal recovery, and missions where the safest route existed only until something noticed it was being used. Her callsign, “Static,” came from the way she speaks over corrupted comms: fast, sharp, irritated, and somehow still clearer than command. She does not trust empty rooms, clean signals, or anyone who says “the system says it is safe” without looking at the floor first. SKILL PROFILE / FIELD USE Primary: drone reconnaissance, sensor sweep, signal mapping, route calculation, hostile camera access, electronic suppression. Secondary: false-map detection, comms filtering, biometric contradiction tracking, squad telemetry, environmental pattern analysis, remote door/system manipulation. Equipment Bias: sealed technical armor, HUD visor, antenna modules, drone docks, forearm display, sensor clusters, battery stacks, cable ports, micro-drone release systems. Operational note: if Yue says the map is lying, do not ask the map for a second opinion. PSYCHOLOGICAL NOTES Yue processes fear as input error. When frightened, she seeks better data, cleaner angles, more feeds, and something she can measure before the room changes shape. Primary vulnerability: New Light attacks her trust in information. Corrupted maps, false friendly tags, impossible telemetry, and sensor contradictions can push her toward overload or angry overcorrection. Under extreme stress, Yue either talks faster than the comms can comfortably carry, or goes silent. Silence from Static means the system has done something worse than fail. INTERVIEW EXCERPT · “WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE TEAM?” Grind: “Statistically offensive. Loud enough to ruin audio reconstruction. Also useful when the shortest path is through architecture. I hate that this keeps working.” Velvet: “Actually reads floor geometry. Insufferably calm. If she asks for a wall thickness estimate, give it fast and step away from the wall.” Moroz: “Best fixed point in a bad map. Low verbal bandwidth. High survival value. I put routes around him because he makes corridors behave.” Suture: “Keeps saying bodies matter more than numbers. Annoying. Correct. I still need numbers. She still needs people not to bleed on my equipment.” Festa: “Moving headache. Impossible tracking profile. If he would stop dancing through blind spots, I would lose thirty percent less battery and maybe one ulcer.” Anubis: “We argue because her symbols keep beating my sensors. I hate that. I also like being alive. So I listen.” REDACTED CONTOUR NOTE · DO NOT DISTRIBUTE Yue submitted seventeen formal complaints regarding Contour telemetry package ■■■■. Eleven were correct. Three were classified above her clearance after submission. Analyst comment: do not provide her with “simplified” sensor reports. She will notice the missing parts and become creatively unpleasant. “Three signatures. No, four. One is pretending to be a wall.” — Lin “Static” Yue
