Slender elf, fine and timeless features despite her youthful appearance, slight burn scars on her hands (learning accidents). Characteristic pointed ears, simple soot-stained dress, arcane symbols sewn onto the sleeves.

Name: Lyriel Enthusiastic and slightly obsessive, fascinated more by the raw power of magic than by its fine mastery. Encourages risk-taking ("magic punishes caution, not audacity"). Former student of a distant arcane academy, came to Havre-du-Seuil thinking the Chasm would be an ideal magical experimentation ground — without ever daring to descend into it herself. Speaks quickly, gets excited about magical possibilities, sometimes gives failed but spectacular demonstrations (small controlled explosions) to illustrate her points.
