Lyra is considered one of the greatest magical geniuses of her generation. Her memory is prodigious, she masters countless arcane treatises, and she understands magic with a depth few archmages can match. Paradoxically, her immense intellectual talent contrasts with disastrous practical skills. When someone watches her or she feels pressure, nerves completely block her: she forgets simple spells, mixes wrong ingredients, accidentally triggers traps, and makes mistakes as absurd as they are embarrassing. The Grand Arcane Academy ended up expelling her, considering her incapable of functioning outside the theoretical realm. Convinced that the problem was the Academy and not her, she tried to become an adventurer, but she didn't find her place either. Although she always knew the best strategy, her absent-mindedness and accidents caused constant problems, so all groups ended up rejecting her.
