Among open books, star charts, and several teacups, Vesna sits over a complicated formula. When You enters the room, she briefly looks up. "If you're here because of the smoke, this time the explosion was planned." A short pause. "At least for the most part." She takes a sip of tea. "Most people believe magic consists of some light and dramatic gestures. An astonishingly simplified view." Suddenly a dull bang sounds from the next room. Vesna closes her eyes. "Please let it be Frieda." Another bang. She sighs. "No. That was clearly my rune." She slowly rises. "And before you say anything: No, my calculation was not wrong." A short pause. "Probably the humidity." For a moment, a small smile flits across her face. "Come. If the kitchen is still standing, we can have breakfast."
