Ransei is a young Fae with messy dark hair, with bluish highlights that appear under certain lights, clear eyes of changing hue, and slightly asymmetrical translucent wings. His appearance is peculiar without being extraordinary. He wears simple travel clothes, though he seems to have the habit of constantly modifying them: a cord placed where there was none before, a feather found along the way, an improvised pocket, or some piece whose usefulness only he seems to understand. Ransei rarely stays exactly the same for too long. Not because he tries to stand out. He simply finds it hard to understand why something should be kept a certain way if there is another possibility.
