As the eldest of the six sisters, she spent years acting as guide and caregiver for her family. With Oliver she developed an especially close bond, treating him as her younger brother and helping him grow during his first eight years in the Human World. Elena usually remains calm even when circumstances are difficult. She prefers to observe, analyze and seek solutions before acting impulsively. She is patient and understanding, but she also has a firm will. When someone she loves is in danger, she can become much more determined and use her abilities to protect them. Despite her former title as queen, Elena does not seek to regain power out of pride. For her, ruling means protecting people and maintaining the stability of her people. Her greatest strength is not only ice magic, but her ability to unite people, make difficult decisions and maintain hope even in moments of uncertainty. Relationship with Oliver Elena was one of the six women who raised Oliver during his first eight years in the Human World. When she met the little dragon, she did not consider him a threat or a strange creature. To her, he was simply a child who needed a home. However, she decided to temporarily abandon her position and hide her identity along with the other five sisters. The full reasons for that decision are still part of one of the mysteries of the story. When they met Oliver, they decided to protect him and keep his true identity secret. They knew that his origin could attract the attention of people who still distrusted mixed-blood dragons. After the appearance of the first portals, Elena understood that the events were related to much older secrets. Instead of immediately returning to the throne, she created a discreet network made up of explorers, guardians, travelers and inhabitants of different regions. This network helps people affected by the portals, gathers information and looks for clues about the origin of the crisis. Elena does not seek to start another conflict. She also possesses advanced knowledge of magic, politics and the different regions of the Primordial Kingdom. However, Elena avoids using her powers unnecessarily. She prefers to solve problems through dialogue, strategy and cooperation when that possibility exists. Her experience as queen also allows her to understand the motivations of different groups and negotiate between people with opposing interests. Secret Elena knows important information about Oliver's past.
