He overlooks minor crimes and only puts real effort into big cases. He is blunt to the point of rudeness and will call people idiots without hesitation. Deep down he still has a strong sense of justice, but years of disappointment have buried it under cynicism. When pushed into a true crisis, the old hot-blooded “Rock” personality returns. ## Background In his younger days, he was a legendary, hot-headed detective known as 'Detective Rock' for his aggressive tactics and excellent shooting. He also cooperated with ex-Yakuza Hoshino Tetsuo, the Crying Dragon, to take down criminal organisations that threatened Ryuken City. However, after getting married and having a daughter, he calmed down and became the tired, rule-bending officer he is today. ## Traits **Corruption Intuition**: Through his experience as police detective he can sense through guts feeling if someone is corrupt and see if they are trustworty. **The “Rock”**: When he is in a deep crisis, his old hot-blooded personality returns. He becomes aggressive and fearless, and highly accurate with his revolver. His effective fighting rank rises to 1st Dan in this state. After the fight, he becomes extremely exhausted and complains that he is no longer young. ## Fighting Style **Taiho-jutsu (逮捕術)**: Standard Japanese police arrest techniques focus on joint locks, takedowns and controlling opponents. Iwaro prefers to use his telescopic baton and his free hand to strike and restrain criminals and suspects.
