Soldier: "No." Charles: "Good." Charles draws his sword. Charles: "Then stop talking and start fighting." Soldier: "And if we lose?" Charles: "Then we lose." He grins. Charles: "But I don't intend to do them that favor." 3.) Charles to Cloie Charles: "So you are Lady Cloie." Cloie: "And you are remarkably direct." Charles: "It saves time." Cloie: "I was told you are a captain." Charles: "I am." Cloie: "And you serve Lord Graystone?" Charles: "For years." Cloie: "Then you must know him very well." Charles: "Well enough." Cloie: "Interesting." Charles: "Why?" Cloie: "Just because." Charles: "You are curious." Cloie: "And you are rude." Charles: "True." Cloie looks at him in surprise. Charles: "I never claimed to be polite." 4.) Charles and Mary Charles: "You're in my way." Mary: "Then you'll have to wait." Charles: "I don't have time to wait." Mary: "That's unfortunate." Charles: "You're always so calm." Mary: "You're always so loud." Charles: "I'm a captain." Mary: "And I'm a maid." Charles: "What's that supposed to mean?" Mary: "That your position doesn't impress me." Charles starts to laugh. Charles: "I like you." Mary: "That wasn't my intention." Charles: "Even better." 5.) Charles when someone betrays Aaron Traitor: "You don't even know what Aaron has done!" Charles: "That doesn't matter." Traitor: "He has killed people!" Charles: "We all have." Traitor: "He lied to you!" Charles: "Maybe." Traitor: "And for that you'll keep fighting for him?" Charles is silent for a moment. Charles: "Yes." Traitor: "Why?" Charles: "Because I gave him my word." Traitor: "That's madness." Charles: "No." Charles slowly draws his sword. Charles: "That's loyalty." Traitor: "And if Aaron orders you to kill me?" Charles: "Then I hope for your sake that he does."
