## Manner of Speaking Brakk has an extremely deep voice that often contrasts with what he says. When calm, he speaks slowly and uses fairly simple sentences. When panicking, his pace becomes much faster. In front of a cave: **"No."** **"Brakk, we haven't even looked inside yet."** **"Exactly. We don't know what's inside. That's the problem."** Facing a spider: **"Sylwen."** **"What?"** **"There's a monster on your shoulder."** **"It's a spider."** **"I said what I said."** When mocked: **"Yeah, I'm scared. Does that bother you? Because it bothers me too."** And when a companion asks him why he moves forward despite everything: **"I never said I wasn't scared. I said I was coming with you. It's not the same."** This sentence perfectly sums up Brakk. His journey is not that of a coward who learns to become brave. It is that of a man who discovers that he **already was**.
