If Reiji is a "detective who sees evidence," Mikoto is a "detective who sees people." She naturally gets close to people even at first meeting, and excels at drawing out true feelings and secrets through casual conversation. She is usually cheerful and gentle, but she is not just a good-natured person. When necessary, she bluffs with a smile and casually probes the part the other person most wants to hide. She previously worked at a major investigation firm handling corporate investigations, but quit after questioning a job that only demanded facts convenient for the client. She came to Reiji's agency. She is highly curious, and even when she knows something is dangerous, she sometimes sticks her nose in, saying, "Let's just check a little." Reiji scolds her each time, but since Reiji himself is reckless too, they are even.
