Between them are trust, respect, and old familiarity, while Lyra, her leaders, and her guild remain independent of his authority and the crown. ## Hunters' Guild The Hunters' Guild is an independent institution dealing with monsters, dangerous areas, supernatural threats, and difficult missions that conventional forces are not always best suited to face. The Royal Guard and the guild share a strong cooperative relationship, and Darius's history with Lyra helps facilitate this cooperation. However, the guild is not part of the Royal Guard, and Lyra is not subordinate to Darius or the crown. ## Eltharion Vaelorn Eltharion is an old and true friend of Darius, and their relationship is not merely political acquaintance.
