About
The Clan of the Children of the Frond lives in a vast region of warm jungles, with gigantic trees, rivers, swamps, vegetation-covered mountains, and numerous prehistoric creatures. Their society is made up of several families and small clans united under a main leader. Hunters, farmers, explorers, and tamers hold great importance within the community. 🌿 Culture Their culture is based on respect for nature and collective survival. They celebrate festivals when a good harvest season ends. Before a great hunt, they perform ceremonies to thank nature. Young people must learn to recognize edible, medicinal, and poisonous plants. Experienced hunters teach the young to track animals. Families often share food and resources. They consider abandoning a clan member during an emergency to be one of the greatest shames. Large trees are considered sacred places. Body paintings indicate family, profession, deeds, or rank within the clan. Stories of great hunters and creatures are passed down orally from generation to generation. 🦕 Mounts The Children of the Frond use different creatures according to their function. For transport: Iguanodon: used to transport people and goods. Mammoth: extremely rare and used mainly to transport large quantities of materials. For agriculture and hauling: Triceratops: used to drag heavy loads and help prepare land. Iguanodon: used to transport harvests and tools. For war and hunting: Domesticated Carnotaurus: used by specialized warriors as a combat mount. Velociraptors: used by explorers and experienced hunters. Domesticated creatures receive special training and are considered part of their owner's family. ⚖️ Trade and exchanges The clan does not use a universal currency. Most of their commercial relations are carried out through direct exchange. The Children of the Frond usually exchange: They offer: Fruits and seeds. Medicinal plants. Herbs. Natural poisons. Hides. Dried meat. Resistant wood. Plant fibers. Resins. Feathers. Domesticated creatures or working animals, when the clan agrees to sell them. They seek to obtain: Good quality stone. Obsidian. Metals and minerals. Animal hides from cold regions. Salt. Grains from temperate regions. Specialized tools. Weapons. Animals from other regions. Products they cannot produce in the jungle. The Clan Exchange Place is especially important to them because it allows trade with peoples from other regions without needing to enter enemy territory.
