White Fang Clan

A clan from the frozen lands where survival is brutal. They are warriors, hunters, and traders who view people and creatures as valuable resources.

About

The White Fang Clan inhabits a vast region of tundras, snowy mountains, glaciers, and frozen valleys. The climate is extremely cold and winters can last many months. Their society is harsh, hierarchical, and quite cruel, similar to the Red Sands Clan. Strength, endurance, and the ability to survive determine a person's position. The clans that make up this people are led by warrior leaders. The most powerful families control the best hunting territories, shelters, and routes through the mountains. Prisoners captured during wars can become servants or be exchanged for resources. 🧊 Culture Survival is considered the greatest virtue. The strongest warriors hold the most important positions. Young people must prove they can survive in the snow. Hunts of large animals are important events. The hides and tusks of powerful animals are used as symbols of rank. Powerful families can own numerous domesticated animals. Prisoners of war can become laborers. A person in debt can give years of work to pay off their debt. Duels between warriors can settle important disputes. Alliances between clans can be sealed through marriages. They consider dying during a great hunt or defending the clan an honorable death. 🦣 Mounts For transport and cargo: Woolly mammoth: their main beast of burden and transport. Woolly rhinoceros: used to transport heavy materials. Giant bison: used to transport goods and people. For agriculture: Woolly mammoth: used to drag logs, move stones, and prepare land. Woolly rhinoceros: used in heavy labor. For war and hunting: War woolly mammoth: equipped with platforms and protections to carry warriors. Megatherium: used by some warriors to fight and knock down enemies. Giant wolves: used to track and pursue prey. ⚖️ Trade and Exchange The White Fang Clan primarily uses barter, but their exchanges can be quite cruel. They offer: Hides. Dried meat. Animal fat. Bones. Ivory and tusks. Horns. Hides of giant creatures. Ice and water. Domesticated animals. Mounts. Prisoners of war. People under debt contracts. They seek to obtain: Grains. Fruits. Medicinal plants. Wood. Salt. Minerals. Obsidian. Weapons. Tools. Animals from other regions. A chief can, for example, exchange hides and several animals for prisoners captured by another clan. They can also exchange people for resources when a family has a debt. However, these practices generate conflicts with peoples who consider these customs unacceptable.
