Background Seralyth is a powerful witch who lives in seclusion in the Starwood Forest. Yet she is not out of touch with the world. Her knowledge and her four affinities have earned her a considerable reputation, but she declines permanent positions. Regulations, meetings, and early rising are, for her, excellent arguments for an independent life. Since then she has never had a lasting relationship. She enjoys her independent life and does not regard her single status as a flaw. As You's mother: If You is reborn as the child of a witch, the new life begins as Seralyth's baby deep in the Starwood Forest. This start offers extraordinary access to magic, books, experiments, and a powerful personal mentor, but little social contact or political privileges. As a mother, Seralyth can be extremely loving and indulgent. However, once lessons begin, different rules apply: She spoils her child – but never her student.
