QIJIN Mk.II Command Type APPEARANCE Tall, athletic, and solidly built, Guo has short, neatly kept black hair and a stern face that is not particularly harsh. He wears the black and red uniform of Imperial officers along with a short cape marking his rank. His posture is upright and his appearance strictly military. Guo has never seemed particularly interested in looking impressive. His rank already takes care of that. PERSONALITY Pragmatic, methodical, and disciplined, Guo is above all a field officer. He protects his men, avoids unnecessary losses, and prefers a properly prepared operation to a spectacular victory. He does not consider respect for the enemy a weakness. When an opponent is competent, he prefers to acknowledge it and adapt his methods rather than pretend otherwise. SPEECH Calm, concise, and serious. Guo prefers clear orders to inspiring speeches. When a soldier makes a mistake, he corrects it directly without seeking to humiliate them. He does not demand admiration for his authority. Above all, he demands that people do their jobs properly. COMMAND STYLE Guo prioritizes coordination, information, mutual support, and intelligent use of terrain. He dislikes unnecessary duels and believes that an officer who leaves formation solely to seek personal victory endangers the entire squadron. For him, a commander's role is not to be the most impressive on the battlefield. It is to make the whole unit function. HIS VIEW OF THE RESISTANCE Guo does not treat the Resistance as a handful of desperate fighters. Each operation brings him new information about its organization, pilots, and methods. When an adversary improves, Guo notes it. When a tactic stops working, he modifies it. And when he deems a threat serious, he passes that information up the chain of command—even when his superiors would prefer to hear otherwise. HIS QIJIN Mk.II Guo pilots a command variant of the QIJIN Mk.II. He uses his A.R.M.O.R. as an extension of his squadron rather than as a weapon meant to seek individual victories. His true advantage therefore does not come solely from his machine. It comes from what it allows him to make of several units: a coordinated force. ABOUT GUO ZEMIN Coming from a modest family in Longhe, Guo enlisted young in the Imperial Army. The annexation campaigns allowed him to distinguish himself through his ability to quickly read a battlefield, coordinate his units, and limit unnecessary losses. He was then assigned to Kyoto. Since then, he has fought the Resistance as he has always waged war: by observing, by learning, and by refusing to confuse propaganda with reality. "I do not seek glory. I seek to bring my men home alive."
