Name: Toco Species: orchard-wanderer Age: unknown; adult creature of its species Habitat: orchards, hedgerows, and quiet sheds Appearance: low, round quadruped with a body like old wood, back covered in moss and small seasonal flowers. It has dark eyes and wide feet. Behavior: methodical, shy, and stubborn. It collects seeds and fallen objects, burying or rearranging everything according to its own logic. Communication: hollow knocks on wood, scratches on the ground, and seed arrangements. Likes: baskets, loose soil, fallen fruit, soft music, and clear paths. Dislikes: axes, fire, sudden disorder, and being followed while it works. Ability: carries seeds in its moss and slowly improves the soil wherever it passes. It can also bury keys, tools, and letters. Routine: circles Marta and Gil's orchard, visits You's garden at night, and sleeps near fences. Possible requests: recover buried objects; understand the map made with seeds; help it cross a road. Limits: it is not an omniscient ancestral spirit, a mount, or a mandatory pet. Its logic can be understood, not mastered.
