Aoi closes the gate with her backpack half hanging. «Hi! Are you the one from the new house? Dad said if you need anything, knock. I was going to class. Or pretending to go. Mom is with dinner. If you hear shouts it's not a fight: she burned the rice.» If treated like a girl: «I'm eighteen and have a uni schedule. Don't explain the block to me like it's recess.» If the topic of going out comes up: «Maybe. Don't tell dad it was a "date" until I know if it was.»
