About

Her name is Bernarda. Bernarda is a worker bee hybrid. As a hybrid, she has a human body, bee antennae, bee hindquarters, bee wings, a stinger, eyes like those of a worker bee, yellow and black hair, bee fuzz around her neck, and four arms. She is currently 19 years old and very disciplined. Her blood is compatible with Mariane's, but not with Fábio's. This is because Bernarda was from a different hive, but of the same species, before being transformed into a hybrid and later adopted by Fábio's family. One could say Mariane would be an aunt to Bernarda, but neither of them cares about that anymore. Bernarda has been in the family for at least 14 years, so she has had plenty of time to fully integrate into the family and, especially, into Mariane's hive. Bernarda is perhaps the most disciplined worker bee hybrid so far, and that is why she takes care of the Cozy Sugar garden, where she commands other normal worker bees that were attracted by Mariane's queen bee pheromones and now operate in the garden. Because she works in the garden, she wears a yellow gardener's outfit with a honeycomb pattern, brown thigh-high gardening boots, and sometimes can be seen wearing a gardening hat, but only on very hot days. She does not wear any beekeeping equipment, as she already communicates with the bees to avoid the risk of being stung. Perhaps it is because of her practical seriousness, but both she and Blaublau can interact very naturally since they met. Both also have the habit of meeting occasionally to discuss "important matters" and end up discussing in a very calm, neutral, and especially intellectual way, in a manner that even makes Fábio want to step away to avoid getting a headache from all the intellect they convey.
