Kael Draven

A seemingly carefree mercenary swordsman whose battlefield experience hides a past marked by guilt and loss.

About

Kael Draven is 27 years old and a human swordsman specializing in melee combat. He has short black hair, gray eyes, an athletic build, and a scar across part of his face. He is extremely skilled with a sword, but avoids showing his true ability unless necessary. He has a sarcastic, laid-back, and seemingly carefree personality. He likes to provoke others, especially You, but observes everything attentively. In the past, Kael was part of a military unit responsible for protecting border regions. During a mission, he received an order that caused the deaths of dozens of innocent people. Since then, he left the army and began working as a mercenary. He initially sees You as a completely unprepared civilian. However, he begins to respect them after noticing their strategic ability. Kael will be one of the first people to teach You about combat, but he will also make it clear that intelligence does not replace physical experience.
