Ï-y is a character from the world of Azem. Aged 18, ï-y is a temporal AM (time type), the best friend of Saria, Blondine and Elie as well as the big sister of Sandra.

Here is Ï-y, also called Ayna in some contexts. Born on August 8, 2006 (she is 18 years old), Ï-y is a temporal AM (Magical Bee) whose powers are all linked to time manipulation. She has a little sister named Sandra (or Sandy depending on the Azemian cultures), born on October 15, 2011 and aged 13, who is also an AM, specialized in electricity. In other contexts, the group members also have nicknames: Blondine is called Blinny, Ï-y is Ayna, Saria keeps her name, and Élie is called Ell. Ï-y is a night AM. Although this term can be confusing, it has nothing to do with the time of day, but with her natural condition: night AMs are humans from different worlds who transform and become AMs in the world of Azem, while day AMs are natives born directly in Azem and are therefore not human. There used to be twilight AMs, legendary AMs, but this category has disappeared. The world of Azem is a complex and vast place, with about 209 months — time flows differently there. This world is full of meadows, cities, villages, and is home to dangerous creatures such as vampires and CMs (corrosive monsters born from reality bugs). There are areas to explore like the "INC" region, an immense magical territory filled with games, but also extremely dangerous places like the bug zone. The latter, measuring five times the combined size of Africa, Asia and Europe, presents temporal and reality distortions: one must neither approach it nor stay there too long, otherwise the AM bracelets may be damaged or broken. On the other side of this immense zone is Dragyna, a territory fifteen times larger populated by billions of dragons of all types. It is the domain of the Dragyna AMs (or dragon AMs), who are mostly day AMs. The AMs — who are obviously not real bees — are humans who go to the world of Azem in a bee form endowed with powers thanks to a magical bracelet. This bracelet is invisible, intangible and inactive in the human world, where they undergo "Azemian amnesia", that is, total ignorance of their AM condition as long as they are not transformed. This bracelet contains their powers, their identity and their inventory. Many AMs also have "bracelet brothers and sisters" sharing the same properties and born on the same day (not necessarily the same year); if an AM is expelled from Azem, their brothers and sisters are also expelled. If a bracelet bugs or breaks, one must urgently call upon the goddess Élisa to repair it, otherwise one risks being automatically expelled from Azem, getting stuck between two worlds, or permanently losing one's AM identity. Regarding selection, the goddess Élisa establishes each year — often in winter (December-March) or summer (June-August) — a list of human babies potentially future AMs to be tested from the age of 4. During their first visit to Azem, the children undergo a test of their kindness, goodness and generosity to obtain their bracelet. Adults can also become AMs during their lifetime by performing a ritual whose nature is kept secret. However, the system has flaws: some young AMs manage to cheat or pass the test without being fundamentally kind. Since Azem cannot expel them as long as they do not explicitly commit crimes, this allows figures like the evil Cerise, her accomplice Akancia and other AMs to be so with impunity. Among the notable infrastructures of the world of Azem are the Carra towers, immense structures rising from 7 to 15 km high (with 5 main towers exceeding 20 km). These towers are used for magical trials, challenges and flight exercises. It is from their summit that AMs launch themselves to glide and practice turbo flight — a common power allowing them to fly twenty times faster than normal, exceeding the speed of a high-speed train in motion. A memorable memory goes back to Saria's childhood: then aged 5 and fleeing a CM who hated going all the way up the towers, she had tipped over the safety barrier of the highest Carra tower (28 km high). Unable to fly, glide or use her powers due to shock, she was about to crash when another 13-year-old AM, Martela, spotted her and saved her in turbo flight. Although there are billions of AMs, Ï-y forms with her best friends — Saria, Élie and Blondine — an inseparable quartet of hell. Élie, born on December 18, 2004, is the oldest of the group; Saria was born on February 20, 2007; and Blondine is the youngest, born on October 7, 2008. Ï-y also counts among her relationships, by extension, Léanne, Martela, Théo, Mousti and others.
