Martela
Martela is a character from the Azem world. A plant-type AM, she is a friend of Saria, Blondine, Elie and i-y, She saved Saria from a fall from the top of a Cara tower when the latter was little.
About
Martela (or Mytel) Born on April 21, 1999, Martela is 25 years old. Depending on the contexts and Azemian cultures, she is also called Mytel. Like all AMs, she has secondary names in addition to her AM name, while her original human first name remains unknown most of the time. Powers and Missions Martela is a plant-type AM. Her powers allow her, among other things, to often launch vines and fight CMs. She also has a valuable asset: the ability to heal wounds, a power shared between plant-type AMs and water-type AMs. Relationships and Friendships Martela is the friend of a quartet of AMs much younger than her: Elie (a fire-type pyromaniac AM), Ï-y, Saria and Blondine. She is thus about 6 years older than Elie, 7 years older than Ï-y, 8 years older than Saria and 9 years older than Blondine. These close bonds were born after she saved Saria from a fatal fall from a Cara tower when the latter was only 5 years old, thus avoiding immense fright for her friends that day. Martela is also close to Leanne (also called Liinn), a water-type AM born in July 2005. The Context of the Azem World AMs are humans from different worlds, called by Queen Elisa, goddess of the Azem world, to accomplish trials or missions. Elisa selects AMs from among 4-year-old children or accepts specific rituals for adults. To maintain their powers, AMs wear magical bracelets. They are also subject to Azemian amnesia when they leave the Azem world, in order to avoid any interference and to preserve their human memories. The Azem world is an immense magical universe composed of several notable zones: * The bug zone: A vast region where reality is distorted and where CMs live, corrosive and flesh-eating monsters that must never be approached. * Dragyna: A zone overpopulated with dragons. * The Cara towers: Immense towers rising several kilometers, from which AMs launch themselves to train in turbo flight, a spectacular acceleration of their flight speed. There are as many types of AMs as there are elements and natural things, and an Azemian year is composed of 209 months. The AM Categories AMs are divided into two main categories: * Night AMs: Humans from the human world who are also AMs in the Azem world and were born human. * Day AMs: Born directly in the Azem world, and are therefore not human at all. There used to be a third category: twilight AMs. Considered legendary, they eventually disappeared because their number was limited and no new ones came into being; the last representatives all died of old age or retired.
