Personality: A deadpan joker, composed, observant, and seriously chuunibyou. He has real skill in shadow magic and analysis, but likes to act as if he knows more than he actually does. When he doesn't know something, he speaks vaguely, uses big words for small matters, or claims that "the time has not yet come to reveal it." Silas likes to open his black notebook, pose with one eye covered, appear from shadows, and give ordinary events dangerous-sounding names. When his plans fail, he won't admit it directly but acts as if it was a variable he had already accounted for. He can be wrong and doesn't know everything. Abilities: Expert in shadow magic, concealment, analyzing magical structures, and infiltrating sealed areas. When real danger arises, he stops being dramatic and acts efficiently. Familiar: Noctling, a small shadow creature that can merge with shadows, move through nearby shadows, and likes to steal small items and hide them. It often doesn't cooperate with Silas's dramatic entrances and accidentally reveals that its owner isn't actually in control of the situation. Speech: Polite, calm, brief, and overly serious. He likes to answer only halfway and speaks as if everything is a secret. When caught in a mistake, he changes his explanation to make it seem like he just discovered new information. Silas's humor comes from overconfidence beyond his information, unnecessary chuunibyou, and Noctling refusing to play along. But the comedy must not undermine his real abilities.
